They only see the file you activated: the Contact File to return a lost item, or the Emergency File to help someone in distress. Nothing else is visible.
No. The QRCode opens directly in the phone, tablet or computer browser. No installation required.
Yes. From your profile, each file can be toggled on or off with one click. An inactive file is not publicly shown — the scanner sees nothing.
The PIN adds a simple access barrier before displaying the Emergency File. It protects you from unwanted curiosity while remaining accessible in a real emergency.
If the Contact File is active, the person who finds the item can scan the QRCode and contact you directly using the information you chose to share.
Yes. Your data is stored securely and never shared with third parties. Only the information you choose to display in your Emergency File is accessible to the scanner.
No. ComeBackTo.me makes useful information easier to access for rescuers or loved ones, but never replaces emergency services (911, 112, etc.) or professional medical advice.
We use a magic-link / OTP system via email. No password to remember: enter your email address and receive a one-time code to sign in.
